RUMC “SUPPER CLUB”
AT HOMEWARD BOUND
EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAM (ESP)
STARTS THIS MONTH
The Emergency Shelter Program will start on Sunday, January 22 and will continue for 2 weeks until February 5. Each night our church will be the overnight home for approximately 35 guests from the Homeward Bound Homeless Shelter.
Volunteers are needed in 3 areas:
• Spend the night at the church from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (women are welcome and encouraged to volunteer to do this!)
• Provide breakfast
• Provide snacks/food
• Pray!
For those interested in spending the night, there is still one more training session on Saturday, January 7, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Homeward Bound Homeless Shelter.
Do you feel God calling you to be a part of this wonderful program? The signup sheet is at the Welcome Center for the above areas to volunteer or to find out more information. Many of the volunteers from last year’s program said their lives were changed and blessed by their participation.
If you need more information contact Jolene Flowers (245-6560), Tracey Klaver (250-1485) or Pastor Gary.
